Minimal Blog for my personal projects

Blogging and other stuff

If you are reading this, consider it the foreword of a book, marking the beginning of what is to come.

A few years ago, I quit my developer job for a small web development company to become an agile product owner in a big international company, to realize that being a developer and being in charge of the developer isn't the same. But everything was new and exciting, and I lied to myself that this was progress and I'd take the next steps in developing my career. However, over the past few weeks, I've worried that I might lose the knowledge I've gained if I stop programming altogether, even just for personal projects. I started this blog to maintain my connection to my former career and explore topics that have always intrigued me, such as designing and programming my own video game or building a game console from scratch.

I'm currently exploring some exciting areas, such as creating a content management system, a static site generator, or a combination of both. In the coming months, I plan to enhance the existing webpage with additional features, such as a CSS theme and JavaScript-based interactions. I will also implement a small tracking library and a backend to facilitate user interactions, like contact forms.

Once I've completed the main aspects of this blog, I will begin developing a small game – either a clone of a well-known title or an original creation of my own. To grasp the fundamentals, I'll start small, using a game engine or even crafting my own basic game engine – nothing overly complicated.

These are my current ideas to ensure I retain what I've learned while expanding my knowledge in areas I've always wanted to explore. I plan to post weekly, aiming for every Sunday, and I may add additional posts irregularly if time allows.

So, let's get started!
